Toronto Central Buyers: 86 Days to Act, Not React
Toronto Central homes are taking longer to sell than they have in years. In September 2026, the average home sat on the market for 86 days. That means sellers are waiting and watching. Buyers now have time to think, compare, and negotiate. Sellers are getting about 97 cents for every dollar they ask for.
The median sale price, which is the middle price when all sales are sorted from low to high, sits at about $932,000 in September 2026. That is down from a peak of about $989,000 in July. New listings jumped to 3,496 in September while only 1,229 homes sold. More homes for sale and fewer buyers means you have real power at the table.
